MELVINDALE — A 23-year-old Lincoln Park man lost his vehicle and his temper the morning of March 3 following a traffic stop conducted when his plate indicated his vehicle was uninsured.

The man provided proof of insurance, which the underwriting company said had been cancelled.

The vehicle, a 2013 black Ford Fusion, was impounded and towed. The man was offered a courtesy ride, which he declined. The man then started to pace in the vicinity, yelling at the police officer and calling him names in front of witnesses. The officer then cited him for disorderly conduct, which was mailed to his address of record to avoid further confrontation.
