ALLEN PARK — A woman who stole more than $210 in sportswear from Dunham’s Sports, 23150 W. Outer Drive, on March 25 was arrested following a traffic stop, during which merchandise likely stolen from another store was found.

The woman, who was seen at Dunham’s removing tags and concealing merchandise inside her purse, was described as white, with brown hair and wearing a tan coat. She left Dunham’s driving a white 2019 Chevy Silverado.

When the woman was searched, two pairs of cutting tools were found in her right-hand jacket pocket. A search of her vehicle revealed the Dunham’s merchandise as well as items with TJ Maxx with tags attached, for which she had no receipt. Among the non-clothing items tagged from TJ Maxx were a Michael Kors bag, fragrances and makeup.

Her vehicle was impounded and towed, and the woman was taken to the police station, where she was cited for retail fraud. She was also banned from all Dunham’s stores in the future.
