HEIGHTS — A 71-year-old man reported April 19 that the University of Michigan Credit Union contacted him because someone attempted to withdraw an amount of money from his account that would have left the account overdrawn.

The fraudulent withdrawal was unsuccessful and the credit union changed his account number. The man said he has limited computer knowledge and does not know how his account information might have been compromised.
