RIVERVIEW — Four recent model Chevrolet Malibu cars had the steering columns reported stolen overnight on Aug. 17 from different locations.

At 6:44 a.m., a dark gray 2021 Malibu parked in the 14600 block of Shenandoah Drive was reported to have a missing steering column, with a window shattered to gain entry.

At 10:36 a.m., a gold 2020 Malibu parked in the 14900 block of Shenandoah Drive was also reported to have a shattered window and a missing steering column. The interior of the car was also ransacked.

At 10:54 a.m., a red 2020 Malibu parked in the 13300 block of Pennsylvania Road in Riverview had a broken window and stolen steering column, with the contents of the glove box strewn about the vehicle interior. Nearby surveillance cameras may have captured the vandalism.

At 1:36 p.m., a black 2019 Malibu parked in the 19600 block of Fort Street was reported to have a broken window and a missing steering column.
