SOUTHGATE — The steering column of a Chevy Malibu leased from Enterprise Car Rental was reported stolen by the leasing person the morning of Aug. 6, with a car window shattered to gain entry, while it was parked at Village Park apartments.
Steering wheels were stolen from cars in multiple apartment and hotel locations Downriver during the night, and Wyandotte police officers later arrested suspects in a vehicle loaded with multiple stolen steering wheels.
