HEIGHTS — A man’s credit card was fraudulently used the evening of Oct. 29, with the data breach potentially occurring about an hour after the last time he used the card.
The victim said he had used the card earlier that day at a self-serve gas pump, and when he returned home, he had text message alerts indicating that his credit card had been used at a casino, incurring two $250 charges. The gas pump was checked, but there was no evidence of a skimming device.
