DEARBORN — Two Dearborn men were involved in a road rage incident near South York and Cherry Hill the morning of Oct. 31, which culminated in the two drivers confronting each other in the parking lot of Bryant Middle School.
The first man said he traveled north on South York to turn left onto Cherry Hill, using the left turn lane until it was clear to merge onto Cherry Hill. He thought the other driving was letting him merge into the traffic lane.
The second man said the first driver pulled in front of him suddenly, cutting him off, which forced him to swerve toward the curb to avoid hitting him.
Both men admitted to exchanging insults and strong language.
The first driver was told his turn lane maneuver was not allowed, and was told there were other, safer routes to use to take his child to the middle school. The second driver was reminded that retaliating by driving erratically while his child was in the car was an ill-advised move. Both drivers were released from the scene without incident.
