DEARBORN — A 44-year-old Hamtramck man who was checking into Hotel Chataura, 13181 Michigan Ave., on Dec. 18 became angry when the desk clerk declined to give him a ride to get some food, and the resulting fight resulted in his arrest for an active warrant in Royal Oak.

The desk clerk, who held the man down until police officers arrived, declined to press charges. However, a check of the man in the Law Enforcement Information Network revealed the active arrest warrant.
