DEARBORN — A 27-year-old Dearborn man who was reportedly parked at the Marathon, 14243 Ford Road, for more than an hour was taken into custody at 3:11 a.m. Jan. 22 when he was found to have multiple arrest warrants.

The gas station owner complained when the man showed no sign of leaving the business’ parking lot after an hour.

The man, who initially declined to identify himself, said he was waiting for someone to help him with a flat tire. When the car’s license plate was run through the Law Enforcement Information Network, and a Secretary of State photo was obtained for the vehicle owner, it matched the man in the car, who was found to have multiple arrest warrants.

The car was impounded and towed, and the man was taken into custody, booked and held.
