RIVERVIEW — A 35-year-old Riverview man was cited for driving with a suspended license in an unregistered vehicle, with no insurance, and an improper plate on the afternoon of Jan. 11, while driving north on Fort Street near Pennsylvania Road.

The man said he had purchased the pickup two weeks earlier, and showed the officer the purchase paperwork. He said he was taking the vehicle to a nearby repair shop for some work.

A check of the man’s name in the Law Enforcement Information Network showed that he had several open warrants. He was cited and told to contact 27th District Court for an appearance date and to tell the court about his open warrants while he was there.
