ALLEN PARK —A man who attempted to steal 11 cases of Monster energy drinks and five cases of Red Bull energy drinks, as well as paper toweling, air freshener and children’s clothing with a cumulative value of $488 from Meijer, 3565 Fairlane Drive, was arrested the night of Feb. 28 for retail fraud.
He left the store with the items in his cart without rendering payment, and was subsequently located parked near Best Buy by responding police officers. He was then taken to the Allen Park police station for booking.
