DEARBORN – Michael Shawn Holcomb, 52, of Ecorse has been charged with the sexual assaults of two senior Dearborn women, and may have raped a 13-year-old Allen Park girl as well.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Holcomb March 20 in connection with the March 17 sexual assaults of 78-year-old and 85-year-old women living on Carlysle Court in Dearborn.
Holcomb was charged with five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of torture, one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, and two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm.
Both women were hospitalized with multiple injuries.
Worthy said the alleged actions of the defendant are “among the most egregious and deplorable that I have seen in my 30-plus years in criminal law.
“The facts truly shock the conscious,” she said. “The 85- and 78-year-old victims were brutalized, tortured, and repeatedly sexually assaulted. We will strive mightily to bring them some semblance of justice.”
Allen Park Police Chief Chris Egan told the media that the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl that occurred at 2 p.m. March 17 may be related. However, no further information has been released.
