LINCOLN PARK — A red iPhone 12 that a man was offering for sale through Offerup.com was stolen by his intended customer May 1, who drove away with the phone when the seller handed it to him to look at it.

The seller said the buyer had agreed earlier to complete the purchase using Cash App, but he said he did not give the man permission to take the phone before rendering payment.

The suspect was driving a gold 2008 Ford Fusion, and was described as a slim black male with a goatee and short dreads.
