DEARBORN — A 24-year-old Dearborn man was cited for reckless driving the night of June 24 when he recklessly sped past a police officer on eastbound Ford Road near Telegraph Road.
The man, who was driving a silver 2015 BMW 528, was driving up to 74 mph in a 40-mph zone, and was making abrupt lane changes without signaling while in close proximity to other vehicles. The police officer reported that the man’s driving behavior showed “willful and wanton disregard for the safety of others.”
When subjected to a traffic stop, the man said “I’m just trying to get home, man.” He was cited and advised on court procedure.
