MELVINDALE — A 19-year-old man’s Corvette was impounded the evening of July 19 when he decided to speed recklessly through town, running stop signs and putting children in a neighborhood in danger.

The Corvette did not have a license plate, and the man said he had just bought it that day. He had a title that was not in his name, but no proof of purchase. He did not have registration or insurance documents, and he did not have his driver’s license with him.

He was cited for reckless driving, for not having his driver’s license in his possession, and for driving an unregistered vehicle.
