HEIGHTS – Police are searching for the gunman who robbed Flagstar Bank, 26545 Ford Road, Sept. 4.
A masked man entered the bank about 1 p.m., demanding money while brandishing a weapon. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the man left the building, entered a maroon-colored Ford and drove east on Ford Road.
No shots were fired during the incident, and no customers or bank employees were injured.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 to 170 pounds, wearing a tan-colored hooded sweatshirt bearing the graphic of a dancing skeleton, dark blue pants and dark Adidas shoes.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect as well as the vehicle. Anyone having information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact Sgt. Mike Gondek at 313-277-6770.
