HEIGHTS — A woman reported that her wallet was stolen the evening of Aug. 22 at the Michigan Cultural and Diversity Festival held at Hype Athletics, 23302 Warren Ave.
She said she left her wallet on a counter after paying for her children’s tickets, and didn’t notice that her wallet was missing until she arrived home.
She said the wallet contained $1,000 in cash. A Chase credit card in the wallet was fraudulently used for a $31 transaction at a Detroit gas station and for an $87 transaction at a Costco store. A $12 purchase was also fraudulently charged to another credit card in the wallet before both cards were cancelled.
