SOUTHGATE — Four pairs of designer sunglasses were reported stolen from RX Optical, 15204 Eureka Road.

The sunglasses, collectively valued at $1,560, included a pair of Tiffany sunglasses and three pairs of Versace sunglasses.

The manager said a woman had come into the store for an eye exam with her two young daughters, who were observed looking at the designer sunglasses on display.

When the girls left the store to wait in the woman’s car, the woman went out to her car to get her photo identification for store personnel, but instead of re-entering the store, she drove off in a Cadillac sedan with the girls.

The store has no surveillance cameras to prove that the girls stole the designer sunglasses.
