LINCOLN PARK — A man reported June 2 that an identity thief used his Social Security number to open a credit card account at Home Depot.

He said he discovered the fraud when he tried to open an account for himself, and was told that one already existed for his name and SSN.

The victim said that the passwords on his Xfinity and phone accounts have also been changed without his permission.
