MELVINDALE — OnStar vehicle tracking services alerted the Melvindale Police Department the morning of Oct. 28 that a 2017 Chevy Trax that was reported stolen out of Taylor was electronically located at the Gale Gardens apartment complex.
The responding police officer found the vehicle backed into a parking spot with the license plate facing the fence line.
The vehicle was impounded and towed, and an inventory search of the vehicle was conducted in a manner that would not compromise evidence left in the vehicle.
