HEIGHTS — A woman reported Oct. 23 that the license plate had been stolen from her 2019 Jeep Compass, a theft she was not aware of until a traffic stop was initiated Oct. 17 by a Troy police officer who said she had an improper license plate, with an unknown plate swapped for her original one.
The victim said she last was sure she had her original license plate on her vehicle Oct 10, and has since purchased a replacement license plate.
