HEIGHTS — An identity thief used a Dearborn Heights man’s information to open a cell phone account in September 2024, which the victim discovered when he received a bill Jan. 10 from Verizon.
The victim, who uses T-Mobile as his cell phone provider, said he contacted Verizon about the unauthorized account.
He said he thinks his Social Security number might have been stolen as part of an online security breach.
