Man charged in non-fatal stabbing of family members

DEARBORN — Hamzeh Mohammad Salama, 19, of Detroit, was charged in connection with the Jan. 12 non-fatal stabbing of three family members at a hotel in the 200 block of Town Center Drive.

The victims were a 51-year-old man, a 42-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl, all of Dearborn.

Salama has been charged with three counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, three counts of felonious assault and one count of domestic violence.

He was arraigned Jan. 13 in 19th District Court and given a $300,000 cash/surety bond, with a Jan. 22 probable cause conference scheduled.
