RIVERVIEW — A 42-year-old Southgate woman who may have been upset about something her ex-husband did was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol Feb. 9 in the parking lot of Marco’s Pizza, 17080 Fort St.
The woman, who had reportedly been driving erratically in the parking lot and almost struck a parked vehicle twice, failed standardized field sobriety tests.
A preliminary breath test was administered, and the woman had a blood-alcohol content of 0.176, more than twice the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.
An empty pint of Fireball cinnamon whiskey was found in a pocket behind the driver’s seat of her vehicle.
Her vehicle was impounded and towed, and she was taken into custody. She agreed to a blood draw at a local hospital. She was then taken to the Riverview police station, where she was held.
