LINCOLN PARK — A woman tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill Feb. 15 at Aldi, 1200 Southfield Road.
The employee said she checked the bill with a detection marker and determined it was counterfeit.
The customer, who was attempting to purchase two sleeping bags, argued with the clerk before leaving the store.
Store personnel said that they would forward surveillance camera footage to the police detective bureau. The counterfeit bill was retained as evidence.
