ALLEN PARK – Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney Kim Worthy has charged Ian Andrew Sharpe, 31, of Allen Park, with the fatal stabbing of his grandmother, Patricia Anderson, 84, also of Allen Park.

It is alleged that Sharped stabbed Anderson multiple times with a knife about 6 p.m. April 16 at a residence in the 10000 block of Allen Park Drive, killing, before moving her body to a field in Detroit, where it was discovered three days later.

Sharpe was arrested a day after the alleged murder, and has been charged with first degree murder, tampering with evidence and with removing a dead body without permission.

He was arraigned April 21 in 24th District Court, and remanded to jail, with a probable cause conference scheduled for April 28 before Judge Richard Page.

Worthy said Anderson’s benevolence was rewarded with her violent death.

“Please be aware of the signs of potential domestic violence,” she said. “The signs may not always show themselves but knowing what they are can be beneficial to us all.”
