RIVERVIEW — A 41-year-old Monroe woman was arrested Aug. 23 for operating under the influence of alcohol and for having open intoxicants in a vehicle following a traffic stop on Fort Street for speeding.
The woman, whose eyes were watery and glossy, emanated an odor of intoxicants, and she failed all but one of the standardized field sobriety tests.
A preliminary breath test was administered, and the woman had a blood-alcohol content of 0.114, higher than the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.
Her vehicle was impounded and towed, and she was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw, after which she was taken to the police station, where she was booked and held.
