DEARBORN — A man was charged with reckless driving and operating without a license Sept. 6 after a police officer saw him speeding south on Mason Street near West Village Drive, running a stop sign and swerving to avoid hitting a pedestrian, after which he revved the car’s engine and continued speeding south on Mason.

A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver admitted that he did not have a valid driver’s license.

The car, a gray 2013 BMW 550i, which belonged to a relative, was impounded and towed.

He was advised to contact 19th District Court for an appearance date.
