DEARBORN – As residents go to the polls Tuesday, they will choose between incumbent Mayor Abdullah Hammoud and challenger Nagi Almudhegi.

The two candidates, who engaged in a heated debate Oct. 9 during a forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters at Henry Ford Centennial Library, was characterized by Hammoud sharing his achievements as mayor and Almudhegi focusing on critical talking points that have been the cornerstone of campaign.

Almudhegi, an engineer, has a Facebook page, as well as a website, nagiformayor2025.com.

Hammoud, who earned a master’s degree from the University of Michigan, also has a Facebook page, as well as a website, votehammoud.com.

The League of Women Voters of Dearborn/Dearborn Heights has published information about the mayoral candidates on page two of a 12-page guide, available online at my.lwv.org/sites/default/files/2025_dearborn_general_vg_final.pdf.
