SOUTHGATE — An altercation among parents in the stands about an earlier fight among youth hockey players on the ice led to the cancelation of a game Dec. 21 at the Southgate Hockey Rink, 14700 Reaume Parkway.
A Parks and Recreation Department employee reported the disturbance, which reportedly involved approximately 20 adults. When a spectator said that a continued police presence would be needed to maintain the peace, the officer canceled the game and cleared the arena.
