Allen Park woman stabbed by Lincoln Park man at doughnut shop

LINCOLN PARK – Jaydee Durden, 23, of Lincoln Park was charged with assault in the non-fatal stabbing of a 33-year-old Allen Park woman the morning of Jan. 6 at Dunkin Donuts, 4005 Dix.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Durden with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, and felonious assault.

It is alleged that Durden approached the victim, whom he did not know, and stabbed her multiple times with a knife before fleeing the scene.

Lincoln Park police officers found and arrested him a short time later.

The victim, who had stab wounds to her arms and right leg, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Durden was arraigned and remanded to jail Jan. 7 before 25th District Court Judge David Zelenak. A probable cause conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. Jan. 13, with a preliminary examination scheduled for 9 a.m. Jan. 20 before 25th District Court Judge Gregory Clifton.
