Janet Haddad was recognized by Wyandotte Public Schools Tuesday night for her work at Roosevelt High School and the school’s yearbook which she helped create. RHS Principal Tom Kell presented Haddad with a certificate acknowledging her efforts in the school citing her “can-do attitude” and implementation of two classes into the curriculum — 21st Century, and Media and Video Production. Nora Ginney, a representative for Walsworth Publishing, presented Haddad with a plaque for the yearbook’s induction into the Yearbook Gallery of Excellence, which is used by the company’s sales force as examples for generating ideas for future yearbooks. The yearbook also will be shown at regional, state and national conventions. Ginney said only 5 percent of the 5,000 yearbooks they publish are ever awarded this honor.
