Parents and preschoolers alike enjoy a day in the park at last year’s Nursery School Olympics, one of Trenton’s favorite annual events. Parks and Recreation Director Joann Gonyea said the non-competitive event typically brings about 100 children to Elizabeth Park for a morning’s worth of basketball, obstacle courses and non-competitive races including the Diaper Derby and Toddler Trot. Games begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with registration on-site. Participants are invited to bring bikes or Big Wheels to join the fun. For more information go to www.trentonmi.org.
