A park ranger holds the door to the newly opened John D. Dingell Jr. Visitor Center at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge, 5437 W. Jefferson Ave. in Trenton, July 8. The public can visit the center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday to explore the displays about local nature, learn about the refuge and purchase merchandise, according to the DRIWR Facebook. “A special thank you to Congresswoman Debbie Dingell and the late Congressman John Dingell for decades of vision, encouragement, and support,” the post read.
