TRENTON — Police officers and firefighters responded to the former DTE Trenton Channel power plant the night of April 18 following reports of a fire near the coal feeder on the northeast side of the property.
A DTE senior field supply operator who first saw the smoke cloud and initiated the fire alarm said that no one should be in the building, which was not in use.
Brownstown Township firefighters helped extinguish the blaze.
