TAYLOR — A regional manager for the Windsor clothing store at Southland Mall filed an embezzlement report March 24 against an assistant manager.

She said the employee was recorded by surveillance cameras voiding sales and stealing cash from the register. She said the woman would also ring up fake sales to void them and steal cash. The employee allegedly purchased clothing from the store using the stolen money. She said more than $1,500 was stolen, and had occurred since the end of January.

When confronted by the regional manager, the assistant manager denied the embezzlement, despite it being captured on camera.

The regional manager said the store wishes to seek prosecution.
