TAYLOR — A drunken motorcyclist whom a witness reported had fallen off his bike several times after leaving a bar was arrested the evening of March 24 for operating with a high blood alcohol content.
Police officers found the man on a white Harley-Davidson in the 24300 block of Ecorse Road and initiated a traffic stop.
There was dirt caked on the motorcycle consistent with a fall, and the man was slurring his words. He admitted to drinking, and failed standardized field sobriety tests.
A preliminary breath test was administered, and the man had a blood-alcohol content of 0.24, three times the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.
He was then arrested for operating while impaired with a high blood-alcohol content, and was taken to a nearby hospital for a blood draw, after which he was returned to the police station, where he was held.
His motorcycle was impounded and towed.
