TAYLOR — A couple who thought they were buying a 13-week-old pitbull puppy from a Texas seller were scammed out of $1,000 via CashApp and $850 through Zeal on April 12 when they sent payment for the dog and for a ventilated shipping container.
When the seller asked for more money, they became suspicious and declined, after which the seller cut off all contact and kept the $1,850 total paid to date.
