TAYLOR — A 74-year-old Taylor woman reported March 8 that she was the victim of an identity thief who fraudulently removed a total of $425 from her bank account.

She said her bank alerted her to one $25 and two $50 web-initiated transfers to PayPal on March 8, which triggered an investigation that found three separate $100 web-initiated transfers two days earlier.

The woman said no one else has authorized access to her bank account. Her financial institution provided her with a new account and routing number.
