WYANDOTTE — A 50-year-old Wyandotte man riding a bicycle the night of Aug. 18 without a proper headlamp gave a fake name to a police officer when detained before abruptly pedaling away from the scene.

The officer followed him to the 1000 block of 6th Street, where he attempted to hide inside his residence.

After a brief stand-off, police officers were able to convince him to exit the house. The man, who was a wanted fugitive, was charged with resisting and obstructing police.
