TAYLOR — A 28-year-old Dearborn Heights woman was arrested at 5:03 a.m. Nov. 3 for operating under the influence of alcohol after she struck a parked car in the 25000 block of Madden Street.

The woman, whose eyes were bloodshot and watery, admitted to having had three shots of alcohol earlier.

She failed standardized field sobriety tests.

A preliminary breath test was administered, and the woman had a blood-alcohol content of 0.173, more than twice times the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.

She was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw, then released at the scene.
