WYANDOTTE — A 25-year-old Flat Rock man and a 26-year-old Romulus man were arrested after they tried to flee a fight that they instigated following a fender-bender that occurred at 4:06 a.m. Jan. 5 in the 100 block of Maple Street.

When police officers arrived on the scene, they found two badly beaten victims who were covered in blood and who had facial lacerations. The victims said they were jumped by men from a silver Chevrolet Silverado who were involved in a minor fender-bender with them.

They said the men fled in the pickup when they heard the approaching police sirens.

Police officers found two men matching the suspect descriptions in a silver Chevrolet Silverado who inadvertently wandered into a dead-end street when they left the scene of the crash. The men, who had blood on their clothing and hands, were positively identified by the victims and taken into custody.
