TAYLOR — A 42-year-old Taylor man fled his former girlfriend’s house the morning of Sept. 22 after he may have entered through an unlocked door and attacked her while she was in bed, for allegedly disrespecting him.

The women, who has a child with him, said she thinks he went through her cell phone, then entered her bedroom, where he yelled at her before punching her in the face.

After being hit, the woman ran downstairs to get away. In the kitchen, he allegedly pulled her hair and threw her to the ground. She then ran to a neighboring residence to call 911.

The man then fled in the woman’s vehicle.

The woman said she has a personal protection order against him, which police records indicate was not properly served.
