WYANDOTTE — A Wyandotte man reported that he received a call regarding bail for a relative who was in custody, and that he sent $1,500 as requested by the caller.
When he later contacted the county jail about their relative’s release, they learned that they had been scammed. Local law enforcement advised that this scam is commonly perpetuated upon family members of people incarcerated.
