Turn Up the Miracles Radiothon raises $480,000 for Beaumont Children’s
DEARBORN — The sixth annual 104.3 WOMC Turn Up the Miracles Radiothon presented by Bridgestone Americas on Nov. 16 raised more than $480,000 for Corewell Health’s Beaumont Children’s.

A Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals event, the radiothon was live from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., hosted by WOMC personalities JoAnne Purtan, Jim Johnson, Jason Raithel, and Beau Daniels.
The last hour of the radiothon, 5 to 6 p.m., featured the Red Tie Hour presented by the Toni A. Wisne Foundation and the Artichoke Garlic Foundation. More than $170,000 was raised to specifically support Beaumont’s Center for Exceptional Families in Dearborn. CEF is a medical and rehabilitative facility that treats developmental disabilities, disorders and diagnoses, including autism, for children and their families.
The Red Tie Hour also offered a Chairman’s Dinner. This intimate gathering brought 160 supporters together at Roman Village Restaurant for an exclusive Italian dinner paired with luxury wine selections hosted by the Rugiero family.
“I have been involved with the Center for Exceptional Families for more than 15 years as chairman of fundraising events,” Event Chairman Patrick A. Rugiero said. “It was wonderful to be able to bring community members together that also have a passion for supporting this important resource for our children and their families.”
Funds raised at the dinner through a paddle raise and auction contributed to the total support for CEF.
Due to the generosity of individuals and corporate partners, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals support the medical and developmental needs of more than 200,000 infants, children and teens each year through Corewell Health’s Beaumont Children’s. Donations help to purchase lifesaving medical equipment, fund research, support community education and ensure no child is ever turned away regardless of the ability to pay.
