WYANDOTTE – Despite threatening storm clouds, the sun came out the afternoon of July 9 for the first of four days of the annual Wyandotte Street Art Fair on Biddle Avenue.

The street fair, which runs from Oak Street to Eureka Road, offers arts and crafts under white tents down both sides of the roadway, with clothing, fiber art, digital and mixed media, jewelry and metal work, paintings, including watercolors, pottery, photography, prints, drawing, glass and leather work.

Vendors offer a wide range of delicious treats, and non-profit organizations sell tall souvenir cups full of ice-cold lemonade.

Street musicians could be found strumming guitars on corners, while determined salespeople offered home improvements, personal services and health care options.

Animal rescue groups provided information to passersby, and colorful booths filled the aisles with toys, wind ornaments, decorative items and cleverly worded T-shirts and hoodies.
