Ellie Lauth, an 11th-grader at Allen Park High School was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. Ellie experienced double vision last December, her only symptom, which led to the discovery of a brain tumor via MRI. Smith, 12, was killed Oct. 14 when he was bicycling home from an Annapolis High School football game and was hit by a car at the intersection of Annapolis and Pardee.
